Got American Express? Don’t Even Think About It

I guess the closest, non-literal translation that really captures the spirit behind this sign -found outside a Mexican eatery- will be something like:

We “don’t” accept debit or credit cards… much less American Express.

    Fantástico. Creo que, “nerd” del lenguaje que soy, lo que más me gusta son las comillas en el NO. Como si, quién sabe, dadas las circunstancias… puede que las aceptáramos. Si te veo cara de tarjeta bona fide, a lo mejor.
